"Cousin Tim's Last Visit" & More!

Hello and thank you for visiting the playhouse!

I hope you'll enjoy today's tales, and please forgive me, but I'm having some trouble with my mouse, so I had to add the stories in their original form, instead of splitting them in to paragraphs. I'll have this problem fixed as soon as possible, and I appreciate your understanding! :)

And now it's time for today's trippy tales!

Sit back & get comfy...
as we delve in to the world of the unexplained...

 "Cousin Tim's Last Visit"
By Billy @ "your true tales"

"My cousin Tim died a tragic death after he fell through a glass sky-lining in his old high school when he was drunk with his friends. I went with my friends to Dallas, Texas for a Cowboys' game. I wanted to see my aunt and uncle (Tim's parents). By the time I got to their house, it was 11:00 o'clock that night. They said I could stay in my cousin Tim's room. So, I went to bed and I woke up about 2:30 a.m. to banging on the front door. If you look out my cousin's window, you can see the front door. So I looked out the window and I saw my cousin Tim banging on the door. The weird thing is, my cousin Tim is dead! I got so freaked out that I just jumped under the covers and finally fell asleep after about 30 minutes of banging. The next morning, I asked my aunt Betty if she heard the banging and she said no. She asked who it was and I said it was Tim. She got very pale and asked what time it was. I said about 2:30 and she said, "2:30 was the time when the police called and said they found him dead. That was exactly one year ago at 2:30." Since then, I have never been back to their house for the night!"

"The Thing At The Window"
By Satin 4-1-1 @ "your true tales"

"This happened when I was about seven or eight. One Saturday morning, I sat straight up in my bed...

I couldn't figure out what woke me. I got out of bed, and it was almost like I floated toward the living room. When I got there, my brother was kneeling on the couch with his back to me, looking out the window. Slowly, he turned around and just looked blankly at me. Everything was happening in slow motion. He didn't speak either, like we were in some kind of trance. Inside, I was crying, because I couldn't scream! All of the sudden, we heard my sister screaming from the back room. My brother ran from the couch and passed me, and I was going as fast as I could- but still, everything was slowed down. When I reached the room, I saw my brother's face staring into the doorway with this look of sheer horror on his face. I stepped into the doorway and looked into the room. My younger sister was standing in the middle of the room with both twin beds pinning her in position. She was shaking all over and staring at the window, She was slowly going down into the floor standing straight up, just like melting down. When I looked at the window, this thing was there. It's entire face covered the window and the heat from it's nostrils misted the spots where it was leaning. It's eyes were a terrible, pulsating, fleshy red and its face was horrible. My brother broke his trance, shook loose from the doorway, and took off running. I ran behind him into the living room and jumped on the couch. We were both crying hysterically. I felt like I was going to pass out I was so confused with fear. My sister came bolting into the room, crying hysterically and looking at me and my brother as if for the answer to what just happened. My brother looked out the window and saw our mother coming up the street with a friend. We were crying and simultaneously trying to tell her what happened. For the first time in my life, I saw raw fear on my mother's face. She grabbed her heart with a closed fist and slowly walked to the back room. When we reached the bedroom, our eyes were wide with shock. The beds were back in their places. There was no sign of anything at the window."

Nothing that could be seen, that is...

note from Queenie: Hmmm...for some reason, I just get the feeling that this was some poor child's nightmare, instead of a real event.

BUT...ya never know right?

After all...

Evil comes in all sorts of forms!

Take poor Dennis for example...

After "tinkering around" one night, Dennis came face to face with "Something"...something not of this world...

"Something Pure EVIL"

"I look back through the years - 21 years to be precise - to a time when I was a young man of only 19 years of age. It was at this tender age, that something happened that opened my eyes to the powers of the dark side...

This is a story that I do not often tell. Simply because a story such as this is not excepted by society in general. But as God is my witness, every word is true. The year was 1982. And I was deeply in love with a beautiful 16-year-old girl from the mountains of Western North Carolina. I was on top of the world. Her parents welcomed me into their home with open arms. It was very easy for me to return all the respect, love, and affection they so willingly poured on me. My sleeping quarters was the couch in the living room. The bedroom at the end of the long hallway was off limits.  We were young and in love. There was nothing that could keep us from each others’ embrace. We would meet in the darkness to "tinker around" (so to speak!;) and to talk of the future. It was a cold November night when I made my way through the darkness down the long hall from her bedroom to the couch that had become my bed. The living room was glowing red from the fire in the pot-belly stove. The only sound in the room was the popping of wood and the roar of the fire. I kicked the covers from around me. The room had become almost unbearably hot. Sweat covered my body and sleep was impossible. I longed for sleep, but it was only a bitter-sweet thought in my mind. I looked down the hall that lead to my lover's bedroom and hoped she was getting some shut-eye; maybe one of us was. The hall was pitch black. Did I see something? I strained my eyes. It seemed to be moving. Then it started to materialize: a figure of a human that was blacker than the darkness in the hall. The head of the figure reached the ceiling and slightly bent forward as if the ceiling were too low for the figure to stand erect. I lay on the couch with my mind not comprehending what my eyes were seeing. I tried to speak, but no words would come. Finally, "Bill!", my girlfriend’s father's name, came out of my mouth in no more than a whisper. I tried again, but the volume got no higher. It was as if the wood stove was now producing cold air instead of heat. From the glow of the stove, I could see my breath. The figure was now slowly moving forward in a gliding motion. I tried to move, but my body refused to obey. The only movement I could manage was an involuntary tremble. As the silhouette moved into the living room, it moved around the walls with it's head turned toward me. The last thing I wanted was to look at this giant figure, but something made me turn my head and watch as this thing glided around the room. It moved behind the stove and through the stove pipe as if  nothing were there. I watched as the silhouette moved closer and closer to the couch where I lay. My mind screamed for me to get up and run into the parent's bedroom and wake them up, so maybe this thing would go away! But my body was as stiff as if rigor mortis had sat in. This black silhouette of a figure was now beside the couch! I looked up to the ceiling. There was nothing but blackness.  As I lay there looking up at this thing, a feeling of pure evil came over me. My mind went numb, and tears begin forming in the corners of my eyes. Then, as if miles away, I heard laughter...

Evil laughter!
 Laughter not of this world...
Maniacal laughter of not one, but many.

As the laughter grew closer, it begin to sound as if many people were gathered in a room engaged in some sort of party, with many conversations going on at the same time. A low roar. I then heard the laughter again and a high-pitched woman's voice say, "We scared him to death!" In my mind, I began to pray. I knew that whatever power this was, it came straight from the pits of hell! I opened my mouth and "God help me!" came out. With that said, this evil apparition began to fade until it completely disappeared from my sight. The coldness in the room was replaced with extreme heat radiating from the stove. I'm not asking the reader to believe what I have told, because, regardless if you believe it or not, the fact remains that it did indeed happen. The house it happened in still stands, and the same people still live in it to this day.  Strange things happened at this home after I witnessed this apparition, but I have yet to see something like that again, and I really don't care to, because whatever it was, was pure evil!"

Well now...that'll teach him to "tinker around" under ma & pa's roof huh?! ;)

Ok kiddies, that's all for tonight, but be sure to check back tomorrow, for more trippy tales from the paranormal files!
